LI Zhaoling, Former Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese Visits CBCGDF

On the morning of September 7, 2023, Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) met with Professor LI Zhaoling, former Vice Chairman of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese and her delegation at the CBCGDF Building. Relevant colleagues from the Responsible Tourism Working Committee of CBCGDF participated in their in-depth discussion on ecological civilization and the development of the tourism industry.

During the discussion, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng first proposed that biodiversity and green development are theoretically the basis of ecological civilization. The scientific basis of ecological civilization is biological rigidity. Why ecological civilization? Because the earth has now entered the sixth mass extinction, which means the loss of biodiversity is very serious, changes must be made, and a new chapter must be opened. Therefore, protecting biodiversity and advocating green development are crucial.

Dr. Zhou Jinfeng discussed relevant cooperation projects with Prof. Li Zhaoling and relevant colleagues of CBCGDF Responsible Tourism Working Committee. He proposed the transformation of tourism, which requires responsible tourism, dual-carbon tourism, and active use of the domestic market and foreign demand. At the same time, tourism, as a high-level concern, also needs a formal, open, and shared platform for everyone to discuss, compete, and negotiate, which not only meets the communication needs of Chinese people to participate in international tourism, but also promotes the development of China's tourism industry.
