CBCGDF BASE Expert Participates in the DSI Scientific Network Monthly Meeting

On the evening of September 14, 2023, the Digital Sequence Information (DSI) Scientific Network held its monthly meeting for September. The experts from Biology and Science Ethics Committee (BASE) of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) participated in this meeting, together with 27 global experts in scientific and technological field.

In the meeting, three upcoming conferences were introduced about the first round of negotiations on the DSI framework for benefit sharing in CBD OEWG1, the 10th session of the governing body of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA), and 3rd International Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA). There will also be a side event organized by DSI for each conference.

Ms. Debora Raposo shared a report on the results of FAR-DSI workshop: Policy brief on geographical origin data.
