Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng Meets with Mr. Patrick Nijs,Former Belgian Ambassador to China

On the afternoon of September 6, 2023, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), met with Mr. Patrick Nijs, former Belgian Ambassador to China.

Mr. Patrick Nijs, was a senior diplomat who excels in handling international affairs in a practical way and has always been a staunch promoter of economic and public diplomacy. During Mr. Ness’s tenure as Belgian Ambassador to China, he chose to retire early and stay in China to serve social groups from around the world.

At the meeting, Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng shared CBCGDF’s participation in the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP15) and the recent 2023 International Climate Conference of People (ICCOP) hosted CBCGDF. He also introduced the concept of the Biodiversity Conservation in Our Neighborhood (BCON) which Mr. Patrick Nais is very interested in and proposes to further understand.

Mr. Patrick Nijs introduced the Kabissa organic farm located in northern Yunnan Province and his reflection on renewable agriculture.
