Good News! CBCGDF Black Bear Conservation Area “Riyuexia”, CCAfa202 Established

Recently, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Asiatic Black Bear Conservation Area “Riyuexia”, the 202nd CBCGDF Conservation Area was established. This will make an important contribution to the protection of black bears and the ecological environment in China. The establishment of the reserve marks a new breakthrough for CBCGDF in protecting black bears, other wild animals and biodiversity resources and promoting sustainable development.

As one of China's rare animals, the Asiatic black bear(Ursus thibetanus) has always received people's attention and protection. However, due to the continuous expansion of human activities and the intensification of environmental pollution, the living space of black bears has been continuously compressed and the living environment has been seriously threatened. In order to protect this endangered species, CBCGDF decided to establish the Black Bear Conservation Area “Riyuexia” in Tieli Weidong Forest Farm in Heilongjiang Province. The establishment of the protected area will help protect the black bear's habitat and reduce the damage to its living environment caused by human activities.

CBCGDF Asiatic Black Bear Conservation Area will further scientifically protect black bear resources through a series of measures, so that black bears can better thrive here.

First, rangers will patrol the protected area. Rangers will further strengthen patrols and monitoring to ensure that black bears in the protected area are effectively protected. Secondly, scientific research work will be launched in this protected area. Researchers will scientifically carry out relevant research work and provide scientific basis for black bear protection through in-depth understanding of the ecological habits and breeding conditions of black bears. In addition, CBCGDF will also carry out science education and publicity activities to increase public awareness of black bear protection and promote the harmonious coexistence between man and nature. CBCGDF hopes that through everyone’s unremitting efforts, the black bear protected area can become a place full of vitality, leaving a better natural environment for future generations.
