CBCGDF Representatives Attend the 2023 Global Energy Interconnection Conference | Discussing the Future Green Energy Transformation

In late September 2023, the 2023 Global Energy Interconnection Conference was held in Beijing, with the theme of "Global Energy Interconnection and New Energy System", attracting energy experts and institutional representatives from all around the world. This conference was hosted by the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization (GEIDCO), and jointly hosted by State Grid Corporation of China, World Meteorological Organization (WMO), China Electricity Council, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). As a national first-level society in the field of green development, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) was invited to send representatives to attend this global energy event.

The representatives of CBCGDF noted that the theme of the conference emphasized the urgency of establishing an energy internet on a global scale to meet the growing energy demand and achieve sustainable development while addressing the challenges of climate change. The global energy interconnection is seen as an important solution that can integrate and optimize energy resources, promote the development and transmission of renewable energy, and reduce energy waste and carbon emissions.

At the conference, experts from different countries and fields shared the latest scientific research achievements and technological innovations, discussed the development trends of the energy internet and the future prospects of global energy. Participants emphasized the key role of the energy internet in achieving the global clean energy transformation, especially in the construction of new energy systems and energy storage technologies.

CBCGDF Representatives actively exchanged ideas with Chinese and foreign guests at this conference, and shared their experiences and insights on promoting green development through biodiversity conservation and promoting the coordination and efficiency of biodiversity conservation and climate action.
