HU Zhaoguang, Former Deputy Mayor of Beijing, Inaugurates CBCGDF Water and Climate Emergency Museum | ICCOP 2023 & CIFTIS 2023
On September 3, 2023, at the China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services 2023 (CIFTIS 2023, International Climate Conference of People 2023, ICCOP 2023), Professor HU Zhaoguang, former vice-mayor of Beijing municipal government, and the third chairman of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF), inaugurated the Water and Climate Emergency Museum of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF - WCEM).
CBCGDF-WCEM located in Lingxi Scenic Area, Mentougou District, Beijing, in order to remember the impact of natural disasters brought about by the extreme climate in the summer of 2023. Through the construction of such a climate crisis and biodiversity science popularization base, ecological civilization education base, disaster and rescue and reconstruction display base, and youth outdoor team building base, it aims to promote carbon peak carbon neutrality, respond to climate change, improve the science literacy of the public, and contribute to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
