Does the Renovation of Country Parks Adhere to the Principles of Sustainability, Ecological Niche, and Diversity| CBCGDF Requires Information Disclosure
Recently, the Research Department of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) received a letter from volunteers stating that Dongshengbajia Country Park in Haidian District, Beijing, is under construction. From the photos taken by the volunteers on site, it can be seen that the construction may require cutting down some trees, damaging the original grassland, and laying cement on the original grassland. Therefore, the volunteers believe that the project will break the original ecological structure and have an impact on the ecosystem.
In order to understand the detailed renovation plan of the country park and safeguard the public's environmental rights and social public interests, the Research Department of CBCGDF applied to the Landscaping Bureau of Haidian District to disclose the environmental impact assessment report of the "2023 Park Function Improvement Project of Haidian District " on specific information as documents, design plans, construction plans, etc.
CBCGDF hopes that the Landscaping Bureau of Haidian District can respond to this application as soon as possible. CBCGDF will follow up and report.
