CBCGDF Black Bear Conservation Area“Yichun”, CCAfa205 officially Established

Recently, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) established the Asiatic Black Bear Conservation Area “Yichun”, CCAfa205, aiming to protect the local black bears, one of the rare threatened species. Black bears, as national second-level protected animals, play an important role in the ecosystem. The establishment of CBCGDF “Yichun” Black Bear Conservation Area is of far-reaching significance to the protection of local biodiversity.

CBCGDF Black Bear Protection Team conducted an investigation in several mountainous areas in Yichun City in Heilongjiang Province, and found that in recent years, due to the impact of human activities, the living environment of black bears has suffered significant damage. Human activities have interfered with the natural living habits of black bears, which has brought great threats to the survival and reproduction of black bears.

The establishment of this conservation area will help protect the habitat of black bears and reduce the damage to their living environment by human activities and the conflicts between human and wildlife. This is not only beneficial to the protection of black bears, but also of great benefit to the protection of the entire local ecosystem.
