CBCGDF Xiaohongliang Eco-site：Sowing More Seeds of Hope in More Places

China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Xiaohongliang Eco-site is located in the ancient town of Xianshi, Zigong, Sichuan. It was established on September 3, 2021, with Xiaohongliang's family farm as the main body, planting crops such as chili peppers, corn, sweet potatoes, green vegetables, and turnips. Local seasonal natural farming methods such as self planted seeds are used to plant vegetables and fruits, creating an ecological civilization community and natural education base for agriculture, farming, tourism, and research.

For the past two years, Xiaohongliang Eco-site has been practicing green planting and ecological development. By sharing and advocating for self planted seeds, adopting the "six no's" ecological agriculture model, including zero pollution ecological planting methods and technologies, young, capable, knowledgeable, and agricultural loving new farmers can leverage their strengths in their fields and apply what they have learned.

2022-2023 is a year of excitement and fulfillment. During this year, Zhang Wangchuan, the person in charge of Xiaohongliang Eco-site, traveled between Sichuan and Hunan, meeting more fellow travelers and walking hand in hand on the path of ecology and public welfare. Under the guidance of CBCGDF, his work has achieved positive results. The work summary is shared as follows:

  1. Recommend two institutions to join the Eco-site system;

2. Assisted in planting ecological chili peppers in Wenglangxi Village;

3. Supported flexible employment for women in Pojiao Village, Tongtong County;

4. Sent chili seedlings to left-behind women in Jiaolin Village;

5. Supported the construction of ecological kitchens

The "Eco-Site" is a practical system for ecological and environmental protection, which is targeting the development of resource saving and environmentally friendly industries, promoting dual carbon goals and recycling societies, assisting individuals, teams or institutions and providing them with support and public welfare empowerment, and encouraging and mobilizing volunteer teams, schools, enterprises, social organizations and communities from all sectors of society to actively participate in ecological and environmental protection,.
