ZHOU Jinfeng and Sara Platto Discuss Chinese White Dolphin Research | Wuhan

At noon on November 21, 2024, Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Secretary General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF) met with Professor Sara Platto in Wuhan, Hubei Province. During the meeting, Sara Platto introduced to Dr. Zhou her two recent research results on Chinese white dolphins (Sousa chinensis). These two research results were conducted in collaboration between Dr. Sara Platto and relevant scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Sara Platto is pleased to join the Chinese white dolphin research team led by Dr. Zhou, and the two sides will conduct Chinese white dolphin research in Qinzhou and Hainan. Platto is an expert in forensic medicine and cetacean behavior and is very happy to make her own contribution to this project.

Sara Platto is the Secretary-General of the Biological and Scientific Ethics Committee (BASE) of the China Green Foundation, a winner of the Chinese Government Friendship Award, and a professor of animal behavior and welfare at Jianghan University.
