A Siberian Tiger Bit a Person? Please Leave it a Way Back to the Forest | CBCGDF Viewpoint

Early in the morning of November 18, after biting a villager in Changtai Village, Boli County, Qitaihe City, Heilongjiang Province, a Siberian tiger ran back and forth in the village, anxious, and seemed to be in a panic.

After the incident, the public security department, forestry and grassland department, emergency management department, etc. of Boli County rushed to the scene to track the whereabouts of the tiger in a timely manner. The Heilongjiang Provincial Forestry and Grassland Bureau held an online conference on the protection of Siberian tigers, concentrating on studying the nature and prevention measures of this Siberian tiger attacking human incident, and made arrangements for related work.

Under normal circumstances, neither tigers nor other wild animals are willing to take the initiative to enter the range of human activities, let alone attack humans. With the improvement of people's awareness of ecological protection, especially after several revisions to the "Wildlife Protection Law", as long as it is not a particularly serious accident, the killing of the offending wild animals, especially the national key protected wild animals, will usually not occur.

The expert hoped that in-depth research could be conducted on the living environment of wild animals in the area to find out the real reasons behind the abnormal behavior of the tiger. Targeted solutions could be found based on the specific reasons, so that the local villages and tigers could be truly safe.
