Dr. Jinfeng Zhou Went to Beibu Gulf to Conduct Research on the Protection of Chinese White Dolphin

A research team led by Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, a Fellow of World Academy of Art and Science (WAAS) and China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation, went to the Beibu Gulf and conducted research on the protection and green development of Chinese white dolphins in Qinzhou, Beihai, Fangchenggang and other places.

Chinese White Dolphin is mainly distributed in tropical and subtropical areas, living in warm waters, generally above 15, with an average depth of 20 meters, and rarely swims to waters deeper than 25 meters. This species often appears in bays, estuaries, mangroves, sandbars, rocks, coral reefs, as well as large estuaries and nearby mudbars. They usually stay close to the coast, but if the water depth is still shallow, they occasionally venture further.
