Dr. Zhou Jinfeng's visit to Xiong'an New Area to discuss the construction of forest biodiversity parks
On November 25, 2024, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), and his team visited Xiong'an New Area at invitation to discuss with local ecological companies about the construction of forest biodiversity parks.
Dr. Zhou Jinfeng said that the construction of forest biodiversity parks should be in line with the characteristics of the ecological environment of the northern regions, and be adapted to the local conditions. At the same time, it is necessary to do a good job of biodiversity survey and monitoring, and pay attention to the natural development of biodiversity recovery. The use of pesticides, chemical fertilizers and antibiotics should be reduced, and the concept of “co-growing with weeds” should be integrated.
Zhou Jinfeng hopes that the construction of the forest biodiversity parks will provide a natural habitat for the recovery of endangered species and become a model of ecological civilization construction in Xiong'an New Area.
