CBCGDF Delegation Arrived in Busan, South Korea and Participated in the Informal in-person Conversation with Observers ahead of INC-5 on November 24

November 24, 2024, is the day before the official opening of the fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for the Development for a Legally Binding International Instrument on Plastic Pollution (including plastic pollution in the marine environment) (INC-5). Members of the delegation of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF) have arrived in South Korea one after another.

From 3 to 4 pm local time on November 24, 2 delegates of the CBCGDF delegation attended the Informal in-person Conversation with Observers ahead of INC-5 on November 24, 2024.

This INC-5 meeting is being held at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center in South Korea from November 25 to December 1, 2024, aiming to promote the development of a legally binding international agreement to address the growing problem of plastic pollution, especially plastic pollution in the marine environment. Countries around the world will come together to discuss policies and strive to reach a consensus on global response to plastic pollution and promote sustainable development.
