Green China Tour Team Arrives at CBCGDF Dark Sky Conservation Area in Zhejiang Kaihua | CBCGDF CCAfa

On the afternoon of November 22, 2024, the Green China Tour team set out from Jiaxing at the mouth of the Qiantang River and went all the way up to the "China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Dark Sky Conservation Area in Gaotiankeng Ancient Village, Changhong Township, Kaihua County, Zhejiang Province, located in the source area of ​​the Qiantang River. Mr. XIAO Qing, CBCGDF Deputy Secretary-General and Mr. Ye Lan, the publicity ambassador of Green China Tour, held an Environmental protection seminar.

 




Mr. Xiao introduced the "Green China Tour • Dark Sky Protection" activity jointly initiated by Dongfeng Liuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd and CBCGDF. The Dark Sky Conservation Area in Zhejiang Kaihua is not only one of the 11 dark sky conservation areas of CBCGDF, but also one of the seven protection areas in China that have entered the "World Dark Sky Protection Area List" of the IUCN; this is the holy place with the best starry sky quality and the best stargazing in the East China. Protecting the dark sky here is not only of great significance to astronomical observation, but also helps to influence and enhance the public's awareness of the importance of environmental protection and stimulate the public's participation in environmental protection.
