Global Panda Partners 2024 Opens on Tuesday

Global Panda Partners 2024 (GPP) opened on Tuesday in Chengdu, capital of southwest China's Sichuan Province. Themed Harmonious Coexistence Between Man and Nature, the conference brings together government agencies, professionals and the general public as panda partners, and has attracted more than 380 participants from more than 30 countries and regions.

According to head of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration, the global captive population of giant pandas now stands at 757, and the population of giant pandas in the wild in China is around 1,900.
