YAO Chunsheng: Multi-party International Cooperation to Promote Biodiversity Conservation

Mr. Yao Chunsheng, Officer of the Global Environment Fund Project of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), attended the Symposium on Promoting the China National Strateqic Action Plan for Biodiversity Conservation and delivered a speech on March 29th, 2024.

Yao Chunsheng stated that biodiversity conservation and sustainable utilization are important components of the national planning framework of the Chinese government and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations. With the support of the Global Environment Facility, FAO and various departments and research institutions of the Chinese government jointly carried out ten projects, involving a total amount of 500 million US dollars, effectively promoting the mainstreaming of biodiversity and sustainable agriculture.
