CBCGDF Black Bear CCAfa Conducts Science Outreach in Early Spring

The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) organized a bear conservation publicity campaign in Songtao Square, Tieli City, Yichun, Heilongjiang Province in one of CBCGDF Black Bear Conservation Areas (CCAfa) .This event is aimed to enhance public awareness of bear conservation, call on people to pay attention to biodiversity, and jointly guard the natural environment.

Through the distribution of publicity materials, poster displays and volunteer lectures, the event introduced the living habits of black bears, the current conservation status and protection measures, and answered questions from the public about human-animal conflicts. 

The event attracted more than 100 people, raising public awareness of black bear protection and calling on everyone to join in the conservation action. The event promoted the harmonious coexistence of man and nature and contributed to the improvement of the living environment of bears.

On the eve of International Women ’ s Day, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was invited to meet with   Ms.   María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, President of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly , for an informal dialogue .
