Shandong Police Seize Four Suspects for Illegally Hunting Bufo gargarizans
Recently, police from Shandong Huangdao Police Station invesgated on four suspicious men during a patrol and found that they were illegally hunting more than 700 wild Bufo gargarizans. At present, four suspects have been subject to criminal enforcement measures in accordance with the law for suspected illegal hunting, and more than 700 Bufo gargarizans have been released.
The body length of male Bufo gargarizans, is generally 6 to 10 cm, and the female can reach 7 to 12 cm. The skin of the whole body is rough, and the back, abdomen, and limbs are densely covered with wart-like protrusions of different sizes.
Bufo gargarizans are strictly protected by Chinese law. There are many types of wild animals in China. In order to improve the effectiveness of protection, China implements classified and hierarchical protection and management of wild animals.
