Xie Boyang's Opening Speech at the Symposium on Promoting the China National Strateqic Action Plan for Biodiversity Conservation

The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) held a symposium on March 29, 2024 at the China Hall of Science and Technology, aiming to promote the National Biodiversity Conservation Strategy Action Plan. This symposium received academic support from the journal BioGreen.

This meeting aims to mobilize the entire society to actively participate in and support the China National Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan (2023-2030). The agenda of the meeting includes government leading, corporate action, and public participation, covering key topics such as biodiversity conservation legislation, law enforcement and justice, biodiversity conservation policies and financial support, as well as international communication and cooperation in biodiversity conservation.

Xie Boyang, Chairman of CBCGDF and former Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, delivered a brilliant speech at the conference.

This symposium provides a platform for representatives from all kinds of stakeholders to communicate and discuss, aiming to gather consensus, promote the development of biodiversity conservation, and help achieve the goals of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF).

On the eve of International Women ’ s Day, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was invited to meet with   Ms.   María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, President of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly , for an informal dialogue .
