Dr Zhou Jinfeng was Invited to Participate in Launch Meeting of the CoARA Working Group on Ethics and Research Integrity Policy in Responsible Research Assessment for Data and Artificial Intelligence
Recently, the Committee on Reforms of Research Assessment (CoARA) Ethics and Research Integrity Policy in Responsible Research Assessment for Data and Artificial Intelligence (ERIP) Working Group hosted a meeting on Responsible Research Assessment of Data and Artificial Intelligence. The conference aims to integrate ethics into data and artificial intelligence research evaluation policies and promote the ethical development of data and artificial intelligence in the field of science and innovation globally. Dr Zhou Jinfeng, general secretary of the China Biodiversity and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was invited to attend the meeting.
At the beginning of the meeting, the ERIP Working Group introduced the goals and future plans, including promoting dialogue and cooperation among researchers, policymakers, funding agencies, etc., and providing an educational resource toolkit. Subsequently, the latest status and future plans of CoARA were introduced. Representatives from India shared their experience in promoting artificial intelligence and data research to evaluate national policies.
The meeting also discussed the issue of artificial intelligence-generated paper content, including suggestions for introducing laws and involving publishers in discussions. Participants emphasized the importance of ensuring that the use of AI is transparent and unbiased.
