WANG Junming: Strengthening the Popularization of Biodiversity Knowledge and Encouraging More People to Participate in

Mr. Wang Junming, Former Director-General of the Foreign Experts Service Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology, participated in the first symposium in response to the "China National Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan (2023-2030)" in Beijing, hosted by China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) On March 29th, 2024.

Wang Junming stated that biodiversity, whether in Chinese or English, is a highly specialized term that many people do not understand. It is important to involve the public more widely and strengthen science popularization in this area. We need to encourage CBCGDF to fully play its role, strengthen biodiversity science popularization, and promote biodiversity to be understood and identified by more people.

On the eve of International Women ’ s Day, Dr. Zhou Jinfeng, Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was invited to meet with   Ms.   María Fernanda Espinosa Garcés, President of the 73rd United Nations General Assembly , for an informal dialogue .
