UNEP Release Food Waste Index Report 2024 on March 27, 2024

 On March 27, 2024, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) will release its Food Waste Index 2024 report to mark the second annual International Day of Zero Waste. The report provides up-to-date estimates of global food waste, including at the retail and consumer levels. Tackling food waste is important to embracing zero waste and addressing the climate crisis.

At the launch event of this report, food waste experts will highlight the findings and recommendations. And a panel discussion will explore actions taken by the G20 to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 12.3
