Rao Zihe Delivers Speech: Propelling National Biodiversity Protection Strategy Action Plan

On March 29, 2024, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) hosted a symposium in Beijing under the theme "Advancing the National Biodiversity Protection Strategy Action Plan", in response to the newly released China's Biodiversity Conservation Strategy and Action Plan (2023-2030). 

At the symposium, Prof. Rao Zihe, a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the Third World Academy of Sciences, as well as a professor at Tsinghua University School of Medicine, delivered a captivating speech.

Rao emphasized the importance of biodiversity conservation and proposed a series of forward-thinking and practical suggestions. He pointed out that biodiversity is the foundation of human survival and development, playing a crucial role in maintaining ecological balance, ensuring human health, and promoting sustainable development. Rao also underscored the urgency of strengthening the national biodiversity protection strategy action plan, calling for joint efforts from all sectors of society to push forward the cause of biodiversity conservation.
