GGBN, ERGA and EBP Co-organize a Two-session Meeting Focusing on ABS-Nagoya Protocol and DSI

As a member of the Global Genome Biodiversity Network (GGBN), the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) is happy to share the information that GGBN, the European Reference Genome Atlas (ERGA) and the Earth BioGenome Project (EBP) is organizing a two-session meeting focused on ABS - Nagoya Protocol and DSI, which will be held on April 8 and 24, 2024.

Session 1: An introduction to Access and Benefit Sharing. This session will concentrate on the Nagoya Protocol, intended as an introductory guide tailored to our communities. It will be structured in two parts: a theoretical segment, which will be recorded, followed by an interactive Q&A segment, which will not be recorded. We invite members from EBP, GGBN, ERGA, and Africa BP to join this enlightening discussion.

Speaker: Scarlett Sett (CSIRO-ACDP)

Time: April 8th, 2024. 9:00 - 11:00 AM CET

Session 2: Digital Sequence Information (DSI) & the Convention on Biological Diversity. This session will dig deeper into Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS), Digital Sequence Information (DSI), and the Convention on Biological Diversity. It is designed to build on the foundational knowledge from the first session and provide deeper insights into DSI-related topics.

Speaker: Amber Scholz (Leibniz Institute DSMZ)

Time: April 24th, 2024. 17:00 - 19:00 CET
