To Meet Taihang Honggu and the Sea of Stars | CBCGDF Dark Sky Community Conservation Area in Taihang Honggu

The China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) Dark Sky Community Conservation Area in Taihang Honggu(CCAfa), like a shining pearl, is hidden in the Taihang Honggu National Forest Park in Qinshui County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province.

In 2020, Taihang Honggu National Forest Park was officially included in the "World Dark Sky Reserve List" by the World Conservation Union (IUCN), becoming one of the world-class dark sky reserves. The acquisition of this honor is not only an affirmation of the natural ecological environment and excellent night sky resources of Taihang Honggu, but also subverts the stereotype that resource-based cities often mean high pollution in people's minds, and highly demonstrates the achievements of Qinshui County in the construction of ecological civilization. It is the fourth Dark Sky Reserve in China and the only Dark Sky Reserve in Shanxi Province to have won this honor.

The reserve has superior and unique rich biodiversity; extremely shocking starry sky landscape; rich and diverse business development. Here, the vegetation is rich and diverse, and the scenery varies in four seasons. Here, the biodiversity is rich and full of vitality. Here, the sky is full of stars at night and the moonlight is as bright as water. Here, whether you are an astronomy enthusiast pursuing the mysteries of the universe or an ordinary tourist eager to escape the hustle and bustle of the city, the "CBCGDF  Dark Sky CCAfa in Taihang Honggu" can meet your expectations.
