CBCGDF College Student Team Invited to Participate in the 13th Dongting Lake International Bird Watching Festival
Recently, students from the Ecological and Environmental Protection Bird Camp of Hunan University of Arts and Sciences, a team of the College Student Development Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), were invited to the Changde branch of the 13th Dongting Lake International Bird Watching Festival, "Bird Watching Holy Land, 'Feather' Meet You", to carry out bird watching activities. This activity aims to show the outstanding achievements made by Changde in the construction of ecological civilization, further increase the publicity of wetland protection, and promote the ecological construction process in the Dongting Lake area.
At the opening ceremony, representatives of the Ecological and Environmental Protection Bird Camp of Hunan University of Arts and Sciences took the oath on stage with the leaders, solemnly expressing their firm determination to vigorously promote green actions and help people and nature coexist harmoniously, adding a solemn and positive atmosphere to the event.
After the opening ceremony, the volunteers of the Bird Protection Camp team, He Xiaoqing, quickly rushed to their respective posts. The guests went to the Fish and Bird Museum and Bird Watching Pavilion in the West Dongting Lake National Nature Reserve for on-site bird watching activities. There, they were able to observe the living conditions of wintering migratory birds at close range, listen to the pleasant sounds of birds singing, experience the magical charm of nature, and deeply understand the significance and value of ecological protection.
As the activity came to an end, volunteers from the Ecological and Environmental Protection Bird Camp of Hunan University of Arts and Sciences gathered at the shore of Dongting Lake to actively carry out beach cleaning operations. At the scene, the students had clear division of labor and tacit cooperation. Some students held tools and bent over to pick up garbage, while others were responsible for carrying garbage bags and following them to collect them. With everyone's concerted efforts, the garbage on the shore of Dongting Lake was cleaned up, recreating the beautiful scenery of green water, blue sky, and thousands of birds singing, like a natural and harmonious ecological picture.
