The disclosure of greenhouse gas information by enterprises is an important way for enterprises to fulfill their social responsibilities and an important means to eliminate market failures caused by information asymmetry. The Guidelines aim to provide guidance for the disclosure of greenhouse gas information by enterprises, improve the standardization and effectiveness of information disclosure, enhance corporate environmental awareness, improve corporate competitiveness, and promote green development of enterprises and the entire industrial chain.

The CBCGDF Standards Working Committee launched the "Guidelines for Corporate Greenhouse Gas Information Disclosure" on November 21, 2024 and solicited participating units from the society.
