CBCGDF Standard Committee Releases Guidelines for Evaluating the Bio-based Content in Materials

On December 16, 2024, the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation Standard Working Committee recently released group standard "Guidelines for Evaluating the Bio-based Content in Materials" (T/CGDF 00048-2024), which will be officially implemented on December 18, 2024.

This group standard aims to standardize the certification process of bio-based material content, promote environmental protection and reduce carbon footprint, and provide support for achieving the country's carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals. The standard covers six aspects: certification principles, processes, conditions and preparations, implementation and supervision and audit, assessment rules, and follow-up work.

This standard will help the public identify and choose products that are truly made from renewable and sustainable resources, promote environmental protection, reduce carbon footprint, and contribute to sustainable living. At the same time, it also provides norms and guidance for the healthy development of the bio-based materials industry.

This standard will help promote green development and achieve carbon neutrality goals and will have a positive impact on promoting the healthy development of the bio-based materials industry, protecting the environment, and reducing carbon emissions.
