Gathering Wisdom to Protect Oceans and Wetlands! Experts & environmentalists are welcome for CBCGDF's 10th “'Two Sessions' Symposium on Motion/Proposal Recommendation" in 2025
For the moment, the OceanWetlands Group of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has launched a call for proposals for the upcoming "Two Sessions" (2025), inviting experts and scholars as well as people from all walks of life who care about nature and biodiversity to engage in promoting the protection of oceans and wetlands in China.
The “'Two Sessions' Symposium on Motion/Proposal Recommendation" will be held in early 2025, after the Lantern Festival, in a synchronized online and offline manner. This is CBCGDF's 10th “'Two Sessions' Symposium on Motion/Proposal Recommendation". It's held every year, around the springtime. National People's Congress deputies, members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and experts in related fields have been invited to join the discussion, to serve national scientific decision-making in marine and wetland conservation. And with the launch of the Two Sessions (2025) proposal collection, and in conjunction with the “Chinese White Dolphin Conservation and Offshore Wind Power Demonstration” proposal received, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) "Two Sessions" Proposal Working Group will hold the 10th “'Two Sessions' Symposium on Motion/Proposal Recommendation & Symposium on Protection of the Chinese White Dolphin and Scientific Planning of Offshore Wind Power” series of panel discussions in the afternoon of December 26, 2024, in a synchronized online and offline manner. National People's Congress deputies, members of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and experts in related fields have been invited to join the discussion.
With the gradual implementation of China's “double-carbon” strategy, the research and application of clean energy has been widely promoted across the country, including the planning and layout of offshore wind power projects. The harmony between offshore wind power and Chinese White Dolphin protection is of demonstrative and guiding significance to build China into a strong maritime country.
This "Two Sessions" Symposium will focus on the above issues and discuss them in the context of the recommendations. At the meeting, a number of national society research topics will be established and approved, with long-term financial support from the proposed CBCGDF Chinese White Dolphin Special Fund. The Editorial Committee of the CBCGDF's e-journal “Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development”and the WeChat Official Account "OceanWetlands” will jointly provide academic support for this meeting.
Experts, scholars, volunteers and managers who are interested in Chinese White Dolphin conservation, marine ecology and sustainable development are welcome to apply for the conference.
