Beijing Daily Recommends "China's Green Code for Beating Plastic Pollution": Full Text of ZHOU Jinfeng's Preface Published

Plastic reduction covers the entire process of production, processing and use, while plastic collection focuses more on taking active measures to deal with the plastic hazards that have already occurred. The two are closely related and influence each other. The book "China's Green Code for Beating Plastic Pollution" connects "plastic reduction" and "plastic collection" with vivid and delicate brushstrokes and real and vivid stories, opening up the "last mile" to end plastic pollution.

Recently, the book "China's Green Code for Beating Plastic Pollution " was recommended by the Beijing Daily, and the preface written by Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, a fellow of the World Academy of Arts and Sciences (WAAS) and president of the World Academy of Sustainable Development(WAOSD), was published. In the preface, Zhou encouraged everyone to learn, participate and study early through the book "China's Green Code for Beating Plastic Pollution", and to have a deep understanding of the challenges we face today and the ideas for dealing with challenges, and become "prepared people."

"China's Green Code for Beating Plastic Pollution"was co-authored by Zhejiang University of Science and Technology, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation(CBCGDF), Zhejiang Ecological Environment Publicity and Education Center, Hangzhou Chemical Industry Research Institute and other institutions, and was officially published by China Social Sciences Press in November 2024. In the book, you can learn about the past and present of plastics and the evolution of China's anti-plastic policy, explore the leading role of science and technology in solving the problem of plastic pollution, and open a new door under the inspiration and guidance of many anti-plastic stories, starting a series of systematic thinking on dealing with plastic pollution.
