XIE Boyang: The Ecological Restoration of Miyun Mines Should Have a Distinct Theme

On October 28, 2024, XIE Boyang, the chairman of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), listened to the report from the Shouwei Mining Area Governance and Transformation Development Working Group on the proposed "Miyun Shouwei Biodiversity Park."

The working group focused on introducing the progress of the project, including cooperation intentions with Zhejiang International Collaborative Innovation Research Institute, Peking University Cultural Industry Research Institute, Central Enterprise-China Construction System, Metallurgical Corporation of China, China Railway System, and Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation, to jointly create a Shouwei Mining Transformation Green Low-Carbon Sustainable Development Industrial Park project.

After listening to the report, Xie Boyang, the chairman of CBCGDF, made important instructions: First, he pointed out that if the theme of the biodiversity park is not prominent enough, it needs to further strengthen the thematic characteristics; Second, he emphasized that the input and output of the industrial park must have reliable business formats and must form a sustainable development industry chain; Third, CBCGDF can provide support in the subsequent promotion of the project.

This meeting has built a closer bridge for the cooperation between both parties and injected new momentum into promoting the green transformation and sustainable development of the Shouwei mining area.
