Eight-year Development of Group Standards - Take the CBCGDF Standards Working Committee as an Example

According to the scope of standardization, standards can be divided into international standards, regional standards, national standards, industry standards, group standards, local standards, enterprise standards, etc. As an important supplement to national standards and industry standards, group standards have the advantages of fast formulation and timely response to market demand. Although group standards started late in China, they have developed rapidly. China's first group standard was born in 2016; as of July 2024, social groups have published a total of 86,532 group standards on the national group standard information platform.

In August 2024, the National Standardization Administration issued the Comprehensive Performance Evaluation Indicator System for Group Standardization Organizations ". Group standard organizations should complete self-evaluation by December 31, 2024 in accordance with the requirements of the system.

At present, the world is facing multiple challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and pollution. Group standards are playing an increasingly important role in the field of ecological and environmental protection. The Standard Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBGDF) has issued more than 40 group standards, including the "Corporate Carbon Assessment Standard", "Green Enterprise Standard", "Green Conference Standard", etc., and has promoted the preparation, pilot demonstration and promotion of group standards in related fields.
