CBCGDF International Department held the Global Environmental Governance Capacity Building Workshop (No 131) on October 22, 2024
On the morning of October 21, 2024, the International Department of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF, CBCGDF), the Ocean and Wetlands Working Group, and the CBCGDF Reduce and Pick up Plastics Working Group jointly held the Global Environmental Governance Capacity Building Workshop (131).
With the goal of raising public awareness of the importance of biodiversity, promoting the mainstreaming of biodiversity, and encouraging more people to participate in biodiversity conservation, the heads of various communication platforms shared the latest data of scientific communication last week, analyzed the data and weekly reports in depth, and clarified the effects of communication activities. Participants discussed how to quickly capture social hot topics and promote the popularization of biodiversity from multiple perspectives to achieve cross-border effects of communication; at the same time, they should respond to public concerns in a timely manner and formulate more efficient and accurate communication plans; timely and comprehensively communicate major events in which they participate, and strengthen communication and collaboration between platforms.
At this capacity building workshop, the head of the International Department conducted another training on the "Specifications for the Presentation of Public Map Content" issued by the Ministry of Natural Resources, emphasizing the importance of standardized use of maps. In particular, beware of incorrect maps. In terms of new security, relevant cases in recent news reports were shared, and work procedures and issues to be avoided and vigilant in international exchanges were emphasized.
In addition, the copyright issues of images in the dissemination of biodiversity were emphasized. It is imperative to ensure the standardized use of images and respect for intellectual property rights. Non-copyright images cannot be used.
