On October 15, 2024, the International Department of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) convened a pre-departure meeting for its delegation to the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP16) to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). The meeting focused on key issues and preparations for the upcoming global biodiversity summit.

From October 21 to November 1, 2024, Cali, Colombia will host the 2024 United Nations Biodiversity Conference, a premier global gathering for biodiversity conservation. The conference will include the 16th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD COP16), the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety, and the 5th meeting of the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Nagoya Protocol. The conference will also feature a high-level segment with the participation of global leaders and experts focused on biodiversity conservation.

During CBD COP16, from November 24 to 26, the CBCGDF will host a biodiversity technology and innovation exhibition. We warmly invite all interested parties to visit.
