The CBCGDF Legal Working Committee Put Forward 13 Suggestions on the "National Reserve Forest Construction Management Measures (Revised Draft for Comments)"

National reserve forests refer to multifunctional forests such as large-diameter timber forests and industrial raw material forests dominated by native and precious tree species, which are created and cultivated in areas with suitable natural conditions through intensive artificial forest cultivation, improvement of existing forests, and cultivation of middle-aged and young forests, in order to meet the needs of economic and social development and people's better life for high-quality timber, under the condition of strictly protecting the ecological environment.

In order to further standardize the construction and management of national reserve forests and promote the high-quality development of national reserve forests, the State Forestry and Grassland Administration has studied and drafted the "National Reserve Forest Construction Management Measures (Revised Draft for Comments)" and solicited public opinions. The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation attached great importance to it and, after careful study, put forward 13 suggestions for revision.

The suggestions of the CBCGDF Legal Working Committee have been sent to the Planning and Finance Department of the National Forestry and Grassland Administration in writing by express delivery. At the same time, they have been submitted by email as required.
