Dalian Marathon is about to Start: CBCGDF “Haibanban” to Compete with the Runners | October 20, 2024

Founded in 1987, the Dalian Marathon is one of China's most historic marathon events. It has won prestigious honors such as the "China Marathon Gold Medal Event" and the "IAAF Gold Label Event".

The 34th Dalian Marathon will be held on October 20, 2024, with a scale of 30,000 people, including 12,000 people in the full marathon (42.195 kilometers) and 16,000 people in the half marathon (21.0975 kilometers). In this event, with the support of marathon runners who love the ocean and are keen on ecological environmental protection, the CBCGDF World Ocean Day endorsement IP "Hai Banban", who has a deep connection with Dalian, will also appear in the marathon with the runners.

The cartoon image of "Hai Banban" was jointly launched by the famous designer and IP planner Ms. Che Che and CBCGDF. The prototype comes from a 2-month-old baby Harbor Seal "Gou Sheng'er" rescued from the CBCGDF conversation area. The launch of this image is not only a new attempt in the environmental protection cause, but also a profound awakening of people's environmental awareness. CBCGDF hopes to inspire more people to join the ranks of marine protection through the image of "Hai Banban" and jointly protect the earth and the blue ocean.

In conjunction with this event, Ms. Che Che also designed T-shirts and car stickers for the runners based on the image of “Haibanban”. The CBCGDF Ocean&Wetlands Working Group, through this event, is also calling for ocean protection, hoping to convey this beautiful concept of harmonious coexistence between human and nature to every runner through “Haibanban”, and wish every contestant good results.
