ZHOU Jinfeng Invied to Attend Global Ocean Development Forum in Shandong Province

The 2024 Global Ocean Development Forum will be held on 24 and 25 October in Qingdao City, Shandong Province. Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Secretary General of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation is invited to attend the forum.

The forum with the themed of “Let’s sea our futures - promoting blue partnerships for growth and sustainability”, is co-hosted by the Shandong Provincial People’s Government and the Ministry of Natural Resources.

The event will explore marine ecological governance, ecological restoration and carbon trading as key solutions to climate change. The “2024 China Ocean Development Index” and the “2024 Ocean Development Forum Qingdao Initiative” will be launched at the Forum.

The conference will also discuss how international cooperation can facilitate the exchange of best practices and technologies and advance global marine ecosystem protection.

The 2024 World Water Forum Opens in Indonesia's Bali

The 2024 World Water Forum (10th WWF) under the theme of "Water for Shared Prosperity" officially opened on Indonesia's island of Bali on Monday. This year ’ s theme emphasizes the need to work together to promote efficient and integrated water resources management to common prosperity. The 10th WWF ’ s six subthemes are: Water Security and Prosperity; Water for Humans and Nature; Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; Governance, Cooperation and Hydro-diplomacy; Sustainable Water Finance; and Knowledge and Innovation.
