Specification for Construction and Evaluation of Zero-Carbon Park Officially Implemented|CBCGDF Standards Committee

The group standard "Specification for construction and evaluation of zero-carbon park" (T/CGDF 00046-2024) formulated by the Standard Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development FoundationCBCGDF and the Institute of Agricultural Environment and Sustainable Development of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and other units will be implemented on September 21, 2024. You are welcome to adopt and use it.

In response to global climate change, China clearly put forward the goal of "striving to peak carbon dioxide emissions before 2030 and achieving carbon neutrality before 2060" in September 2020. As clusters of industrial enterprises, industrial and industrial parks have become the main source of carbon emissions while providing important support for social and economic growth.

In order to promote the green and low-carbon development of the park and help achieve the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality, the Standard Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation has specially formulated the "Specification for construction and evaluation of zero-carbon park". The standard lists the construction principles, construction requirements and evaluation requirements of the park with zero carbon as the goal, and is applicable to the construction and evaluation of zero-carbon parks.

The construction of a zero-carbon park requires specific operational requirements from the aspects of overall planning, energy system, building site selection, production system, transportation and logistics system, infrastructure system, management system, biodiversity-friendly system, and carbon offset. According to the evaluation, the evaluation results are divided into three levels: low carbon, near zero carbon, and zero carbon.

Promoting low-carbon and green development of the park and implementing energy conservation, consumption reduction, and carbon reduction in the design, planning, construction, operation, management and maintenance of the park are the inevitable requirements and important ways to help my country achieve the goals of carbon peak and carbon neutrality.
