CBCGDF Put forward 19 Suggestions on the National Park Law (Draft for Comments)

National parks are a type of protected area, which originated in the United States and was later adopted by most countries and regions in the world. In October 2021, China officially established the first five national parks of Sanjiangyuan, Giant Panda, Northeast Tiger and Leopard, Hainan Tropical Rainforest, and Wuyishan.

In order to maintain the authenticity and integrity of natural ecosystems, and safeguard national ecological security, the National Forestry and Grassland Administration has launched national park legislation and made every effort to promote the formulation of laws. On September 10, 2024, the National Park Law of the People's Republic of China (Draft for comments) was publicly solicited for opinions from the society. The Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) attached great importance to it and, after careful study, put forward 19 suggestions.
