Local Police and CBCGDF Volunteers Jointly Crack down on the Illegal Bird Hunting in Suihua City Beilin District

Recently, volunteers from Suihua Wetland Community Conservation Area of China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) and other social organization volunteers were patrolling in Suihua Beilin District. They keenly discovered an illegal bird hunting case in the patrol forest and immediately reported the matter to the police.

The Food, Drug and Environmental Crime Investigation Brigade of Beilin Branch of Suihua Public Security Bureau acted immediately upon hearing the alarm and quickly arrived at the scene, demonstrating a high degree of law enforcement efficiency and sense of responsibility. With the close cooperation between police and citizens, not only did they successfully bring the illegal bird catchers back for investigation, but they also rescued 13 innocent birds on the spot, and confiscated 2 bird nets, a number of bird cages and bird cages.

In January 2018, the People's Government of Beilin District, Suihua City, issued the "Notice on the Announcement of Wildlife Hunting Prohibition Areas and Hunting Prohibition Periods", which clearly stated:1) Hunting prohibition area, the entire administrative area of Beilin District was designated as a hunting prohibition area. 2) Hunting ban period, the whole year is considered as hunting ban period, that is, illegal hunting activities are prohibited throughout the year.

This joint action by police and the public has effectively curbed illegal hunting in Suihua Beilin District, demonstrating the majesty of the law and the importance of wildlife protection. It is not only a powerful deterrent to lawbreakers, but also a powerful implementation of Suihua City's year-round hunting ban policy.

CBCGDF volunteers said that the local public security department has interpreted the profound connotation of "protecting the ecology, everyone is responsible" with practical actions, and its serious, responsible, quick and decisive work attitude deserves high praise.

Volunteers expect and firmly believe that with the joint efforts of the public security department and all sectors of society, illegal hunting in Suihua Beilin District will have nowhere to hide, and wildlife will be more firmly protected. Let us work together to contribute to building a beautiful home where people and nature coexist in harmony!
