ZHOU Jinfeng Talks about Global Biodiversity Conservation and Sustainable Development

On October 10, 2024, Dr. Samuel Lee Hancock, President of EmeraldPlanet Television, visited the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) and interviewed Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Secretary-General of CBCGDF.

They conducted in-depth discussions and exchanges on global biodiversity conservation and sustainable development. Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng shared and interpreted typical cases of species protection such as the Great Bustard, the Chinese Bee, and the Beijing Swift, emphasizing the important value of people's power participating in biodiversity conservation and green development. He also said that the current global biodiversity loss rate has not been effectively curbed, climate change and public health crises have complex and far-reaching impacts, and the implementation of the “dual carbon” strategy has become an important opportunity to promote sustainable development in China and the world. Seizing the current opportunities and attaching importance to the extensive participation of people's power and the demonstration effect of innovative practices will become an important path to solve multiple crises and achieve harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

Dr. Samuel Lee Hancock highly affirmed Dr. ZHOU’s sharing, and they agreed that in the future, many possibilities for cooperation in biodiversity conservation and sustainable development can be explored, and in the process of international communication, Chinese stories should be told well and Chinese voices should be spread.

The 2024 World Water Forum Opens in Indonesia's Bali

The 2024 World Water Forum (10th WWF) under the theme of "Water for Shared Prosperity" officially opened on Indonesia's island of Bali on Monday. This year ’ s theme emphasizes the need to work together to promote efficient and integrated water resources management to common prosperity.
