During the conference, four local conservation organizations in Tangshan reported on the progress of their work in coastal wetland and water bird conservation in Tangshan over the past 10 years. Experts and scholars shared their insights on the conservation of wetlands and water birds in Tangshan from a scientific point of view and had in-depth discussions with the participants. Participants agreed that Tangshan, as an important node in the East Asia-Australasia migratory bird migration corridor, is rich in wetland and bird resources that significant conservation achievements have been made, and that all parties will continue to work hard to meet new challenges.

It was agreed that the Bohai Rim region has different ecological values and that conservation agencies will use their own experience to carry out joint conservation actions.

After the meeting, the participants visited the Caofeidian Wetland and Birds Provincial Nature Reserve and other places to experience the rich and diverse wetland types in Tangshan and observed rare birds such as Oriental White Stork and Black-faced Spoonbill.
