Two people were Caught Illegally Hunting Poisonous Snakes in Longnan, Jiangxi Province

Since July 2023, Zhong and Yang have been hunting wild snakes in a mountain area in Dujiang Town using illegal tools such as snare traps, clamps, and nets. They have captured a variety of wild snakes, including protected species such as cobras and silver ring snakes. According to Article 341 of the Criminal Law of the Peoples Republic of China, this behavior constitutes illegal hunting.

Zhong and Yang have been detained by law enforcement, and the wild snakes seized have been transferred to the relevant authorities for release. The case is still under further investigation.
