A New Species “A Miniature Dragon” Found in China

Chinese researchers have discovered a new species of dragon-like lizard, Tropidophorus vongx, in the lowland karst landscape of Yunnan Province in southwest China.

The discovery highlights the unique biodiversity of Southeast Asia's karst regions and the critical need for conservation in southern Yunnan, and has been named in honour of local traditions and the Dragon Festival.
