Don't Let More Agricultural Land Turn into Garbage Dumps | CBCGDF Legal Working Committee Soliciting Clues of Environmental Violations
In
September 2023, the incident of more than 300 acres of Agricultural Land in
Huanghua Village, Xingjing Town, Yinchuan city becoming a garbage dump was
exposed, which attracted widespread attention from the society and made more
people aware of such environmental pollution issues.
Recently,
the Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green
Development Foundation (CBCGDF) received many reports from volunteer, including
many problems of inadequate solid waste treatment.
Dumping
or even landfilling solid waste on agricultural land will cause soil pollution
and even lead to the loss of production capacity of agricultural land and a
reduction in the amount of agricultural land. Strict supervision by law
enforcement departments can effectively deter and stop the environmental
violations.
In
order to safeguard the public interest and protect national land resources, the
CBCGDF Legal Working Committee is publicly soliciting clues of environmental
violations about solid waste pollution. Please report to us if there are
environmental violations around you, and we will assist you in promoting the
resolution and handling of the problems.
