In Tik Tok Palm Clock, Niamh Cunningham creates a thought-provoking piece that contrasts the traditional with the contemporary. The use of an old-fashioned analog clock serves as a reminder of the familiar tick-tock sound, evoking a sense of nostalgia and a slower, more deliberate passage of time. The artist explores how the space around the clock is shaped by this sound, offering a stark contrast to how we experience time in today's fast-paced, digital world. The acrylic on canvas beautifully captures this interplay of time, memory, and perception. ‘Tik Tok Palm Clock’ is part of the Forest Breath Series.
