CBCGDF Legal Working Committee Soliciting Suggestions on Biodiversity and Green Development for the "Two Sessions"

The date of the 2025 National Two Sessions has been announced.Every year, the National Two Sessions have attracted much attention at home and abroad. Because this is a major event in China's political life, it affects the work and life of 1.4 billion people, carries the expectations of hundreds of millions of people for a better future, is related to the well-being of thousands of households, and also gathers the attention of the world.

The Two Sessions are a platform for representatives and members to discuss state affairs, a meeting of the party's heart and the people's heart, and a resonance of national policies and public opinion. There are both "big things" that interpret China's governance and "small things" that show social conditions and public opinion. The national level is used to protect the livelihood of individuals. This is the embodiment of the people's mastery of the two sessions.

In order to promote the modernization of the ecological environment governance system and governance capabilities with the power of the rule of law and to help the construction of national ecological civilization, the Legal Working Committee of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has now launched the collection of legal suggestions.

The content mainly includes suggestions on legislation, judicial, administrative law enforcement and relevant policies and standards in the field of biodiversity and green development.

1. The field of biodiversity protection specifically includes:

1. Protection of species resources such as animals and plants;

2. Protection of habitats such as forests, grasslands, deserts, and wetlands;

3. Environmental protection of marine ecosystems;

4. Protection of genetic resources;

The field of green development mainly includes:

1. Legislation and policy suggestions on carbon peak and carbon neutrality;

2. Formulation and revision of standards in green and low-carbon aspects;

3. Formulation and revision of laws on environmental pollution;

3. Suggestions on judicial and administrative law enforcement in the field of ecological environment;

4. Other suggestions related to biodiversity conservation and green development.

People from all walks of life who are enthusiastic about biodiversity protection and green development are welcome to actively participate, give full play to the spirit of national ownership and sense of responsibility, actively make suggestions, and help the green, low-carbon and high-quality development of the social economy.
