Green Actions of CBCGDF Youth Representative at UNFCCC COP29

In November 2024, the 29th United Nations Climate Change Conference (UNFCCC COP29) was held in Baku, Azerbaijan. The Climate Change Working Group of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) formed a delegation mainly composed of young volunteers and climate solution experts. They showcased the spirit and innovative practices of Chinese youth in international arenas. During the conference, CBCGDF and the Azerbaijan Youth Teachers Association (AYTA) jointly organized a green campus theme education exchange activity. This event was not only supported by the Azerbaijani government but also promoted exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and Azerbaijani youth in responding to climate change and sustainable development. Below are the insights and experiences shared by delegation member Linpeng Chubin:

In the early winter of this year, I was fortunate to join the delegation of CBCGDF to Azerbaijan to attend the 29th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC COP29) held in Baku, Azerbaijan from November 13 to 18, 2024, as well as the "International Experience Exchange Project for Green School and Youth Teachers" co-hosted by us.

This conference was not only a global environmental event but also an important platform for promoting sustainable development in animal husbandry and strengthening international scientific and technological cooperation and exchange. From the overall performance of the conference, scientific and technical personnel from various countries demonstrated extremely high professional quality and innovative spirit. In particular, the outstanding achievements of the world's top scientific research teams in the field of animal husbandry have not only promoted the deepening of relevant theories but also achieved significant results in practical applications, showing human wisdom and courage in the face of global challenges. Looking to the future, I look forward to continuing to participate in global environmental governance, scientific and technological innovation cooperation, and contributing more Chinese solutions and wisdom to the building of a community with a shared future for mankind.
