ZHOU Jinfeng Invited to Attend the 2024 Global Ocean Development Forum | Promoting Blue Partnerships for Growth and Sustainability

The 2024 Global Ocean Development Forum will be held from October 24th to 25th, 2024, at Qingdao Cosmopolitan Exposition, Shandong Province. The forum 2024 is themed on "Let’s Sea our Futures—Promoting Blue Partnerships for Growth and Sustainability". Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Dr. ZHOU Jinfeng, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF), was invited to attend the forum.

 


As one of the largest and most influential marine cooperation events in China, this forum aims to gather global forces for sustainable marine development. It seeks to promote exchanges among governments, enterprises, scholars, and international organizations, fostering international consensus and cooperation in the fields of marine environmental protection, social responsibility, and governance. The forum strives to enhance the international competitiveness of China's marine industry, continually stimulating new productive capacities through achievements in green development.

 

The forum will invite nearly 400 high-level guests from the global marine sector to attend in Qingdao to discuss cooperation and share insights on blue economy, marine science and technology, marine ecology, and global climate change.

 


Dr. Zhou Jinfeng stated that Qingdao and Shandong hold significant strategic positions in the development of the global marine economy and ecology. With its abundant research resources and infrastructure, such as Ocean University and the Institute of Oceanology, Qingdao has become a core city driving marine technological innovation. He also emphasized that Qingdao is not only an important base for the development of the global oceans but will also play a leading role in building global ecological civilization. As a major marine province, Shandong leverages Qingdao’s advantages to actively promote sustainable marine economic development, playing an indispensable role in global marine ecological cooperation.

 

Dr. Zhou also highlighted the role of the 2024 Global Ocean Development Forum in global marine ecological cooperation. He expressed strong approval of the forum, recognizing its potential to become a leader in global ecological civilization and a major contributor to the cooperation and development of global marine ecology. The forum will foster international cooperation and make a significant contribution to the sustainable development of the global oceans.
